School Bus Driver - Sign-on Bonus

Your Role Will Include:
- Safely transporting students on assigned routes and trips.
- Ensuring student safety during boarding, travel, and drop-off.
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintaining order and discipline among riders.
- Establishing positive interactions with students, parents, and staff.
- Keeping the bus clean and fueled per standard procedures.
- Conducting state-mandated evacuation drills twice a year.
- Completing required reports and complying with safety regulations.
- Passing annual DOT physical and random drug/alcohol testing.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State of Minnesota Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements.
- Negative pre-employment controlled substance screen (49CFR Part 382.301).
- Current US DOT Medical Card.
- Successful completion of background check and drug test.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Ability to communicate in conversational English.
- No felony level criminal conviction(s).
Driving Qualifications: Must not have been cited for any of the following violations in the past 36 months:
- Reckless, negligent, or careless driving.
- Any drug- or alcohol-related driving offense (including refusal to submit to a chemical test).
- Fleeing or eluding law enforcement.
- Failure to stop and identify after an accident (hit and run).
- Vehicular assault, negligent homicide, or manslaughter.
- Drag racing or racing on roadways.
- Felony involving a motor vehicle (e.g., theft).
- Driving with a suspended or revoked license or registration.
- Speeding more than 15 mph over the limit.
Additionally, not eligible if have any of the following within the past 36 months:
- Two or more at-fault accidents.
- One at-fault accident combined with a moving violation.
- More than two moving violations.
Salary and Benefits:
- $30/hour, at least 6 hours of pay each day.
- Receive a $750 bonus paid in $250 installments. Paid the last pay periods of September, December and March.
- Earned Sick and Safe Time paid leave.
- Five paid holidays (New Years, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas).
- Paid training time.
Location & Shift Times:
- School Start Date - September 2, 2025.
- Within the hours of 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM School Day Driving, 2 PM - 10 PM After-School Activity Driving.
